To retrieve the social media statistics for your accounts and content, Coosto uses the official integrations and APIs of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, and others.
Coosto continuously fetches the latest data, but there may be a delay of up to 48 hours before the most recent interactions or changes are reflected in Coosto. As a result, when you view today’s or yesterday’s performance, Coosto might show slightly lower numbers than the social media platform itself.
Additionally, social platforms generally track the performance of content indefinitely, even long after the content receives any interaction. For example: an Instagram post from three years ago receives a new reaction for the first time in years. This reaction will be registered on Instagram and visible in its statistics. However, external tools like Coosto will not register this reaction, because Meta no longer provides the data for this post via the API.
Finally, Coosto uses a content analysis mechanism to cover the duration of each individual post, ensuring maximum performance and offering a cost-effective software solution.
In short, if a post no longer receives interactions or impressions, we stop retrieving statistics for that post. Of course, we have carefully calibrated this mechanism to ensure we fetch statistics for long enough to easily cover the regular lifecycle of social content.
In rare cases, posts may experience a sudden surge in activity, even after a long period of inactivity. When this happens, it is possible that Coosto will not display the statistics of this post’s "second life" in the social media statistics.
